These questions focused on communications and policies in place between endocrinologists and their affiliated laboratories and communication of laboratory results from clinician to patients on the impact of RI changes.
The questionnaire was emailed to 210 individuals. 35 responses were received. Respondents indicated that there is adequate communication and policies in place with the laboratories they work with and are satisfied with duration provided for RI changes. However, a significant number of respondents indicated that changes reflected in protocol are not adapted in a sufficient manner and that patients normally do not know their laboratory values.
